PN #65 - CA congratulates Eliziane Gama, rapporteur for the CPMI on the events of January 8

For five months, her work has been the best example of dedication to her mandate, with intelligence and determination in the search for facts and those responsible. Her courage is noteworthy, even in the face of threats that forced her to request an escort for her safety. As a woman, a northeastern Brazilian, and an evangelical Christian, the strength of her personal commitment to truth, justice, and democracy was a crucial factor in her dignified confrontation of prejudice and constraints of all kinds. We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that the Arns Commission will closely monitor the developments of this CPMI report in the courts.
